Details

Benylin Chesty Coughs Original contains two active ingredients, the antihistamine Diphenhydramine to relieve coughing and help dry a runny nose. The other ingredient is Levomenthol which has a mild, comforting cooling effect and eases stuffiness in the nose to make it easier to breathe. If you need relief from the symptoms of a cold and chesty cough, Benylin Chesty Coughs Original will tackle these head on to relieve troublesome symptoms and help your recovery.

Each 5 ml contains: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 14.0 mg, L-menthol, 2.0 mg
Also contains: Liquid Glucose, Sucrose, Ethanol, Glycerol, Sodium Citrate, Saccharin Sodium, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Benzoate (E211), Ammonium Chloride, Caramel T12 (E150), Raspberry flavour, Carbomer, Ponceau 4R (E124) and water.

Adults and Children aged 12 years and over: One 10 ml dose of syrup 4 times a day. Maximum daily dose: 40 ml syrup. Children under 12 years: Benylin Chesty Coughs (Original) is contraindicated in children under the age of 12 years The Elderly: As for adults above. Hepatic dysfunction Caution should be exercised if moderate to severe hepatic dysfunction is present Renal dysfunction It may be prudent to increase the dosage interval in subjects with moderate to severe renal failure Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Warnings

Do not take this medicine if you have suffered with a bad reaction to this product, or any of the listed ingredients. You have a persistent cough such as occurs with asthma or produces a lot of mucus. You suffer from prostate problems (difficulty in passing water or needing to pass water often.) You are taking any other cough or cold medicine. You have narrow eye glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye). You are taking drugs for depression known as MAOI. Not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Do not take with products containing paracetamol. Side effects relating to Benylin Chesty Coughs Original:This medicine can have side effects, like all medicines, although these do not effect everyone and are usually mild. If you experience any of the following, stop using the medicine and seek immediate help.Swelling of the face, lips or tongue. Allergic reactions including skin rashes (which may be severe and include blistering or peeling of the skin and itching) Irregular heart rate. Shakiness. Fits or numbness. Difficulty passing water. Always read instructions and cautions before use.

We aim to deliver orders within 3 working days to the shipping address provided by you in your order if the shipping address is in the UK.  For orders being delivered outside mainland UK, this will be longer and we cannot give a guaranteed delivery time due to the differences between carriers. Delivery timescales are estimates only. If you do not receive your order within 14 days of us confirming your order has been sent you must notify us and we will investigate the non-delivery provided. Orders from outside the UK have varied delivery charges, depending on the particular country.  Please note that in some instances you may be required to answer product related questions from our Pharmacist as part of the checkout process.  Failiure to answer these will cause delays.  Please allow extra time for Pharmacy approved products.

Express UK Delivery

Please note that Express delivery is only available on orders placed before 1pm (GMT) Monday to Friday in the UK.  After 1pm we cannot guarantee express delivery, even if it has been selected.  Please note that this is not a guaranteed next day service, but is an expedited delivery option.  Products which need to be approved by a pharmacist are not suitable for express delivery.
